At present, the Sokolya Gora tourist complex is hosting training camps for Volunteers from the Smolensk region.
The profile shift is aimed at involving young people in volunteering through training leaders of the volunteer movement - the leaders of volunteer groups, groups and centers.
On August 13, 2019, the tourist complex was visited by Isidor, Metropolitan of Smolensk and Dorogobuzh, and Archpriest Valery Ryabokon, Rector of the Church of the Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of the Church of the Russian Church, is the head of the department for relations between the Church and society and the media.
As part of the meeting with volunteers, the presentation of the international project for the development of cultural and youth tourism “Pearl Necklace of Holy Russia”, which is supported by the Presidential Grants Fund, was presented.
Archpriest Valery Ryabokon spoke about the implementation of the project. He introduced the shift participants to the results of the Pearl Necklace, showing one of the project team’s videos on the trip to the city of Pskov, and answered questions from volunteers.
As a result, 195 meeting participants learned about the project, including volunteers and the teaching staff of the shift.
